With a strong background in visual design and healthcare, I love behavioral psychology and am passionate about solving problems through design.
My path to product design began with a large plastic bottle; the focus of my graduate year in the Stanford ME310/SUGAR design innovation program. Using the Stanford/IDEO process of product development, I spent a year benchmarking, needfinding and prototyping, with my team's final prototype presented at the Stanford D.School in June 2014. With a background as a Registered Nurse, a thorough understanding of research methods, visual design and a whole lot of empathy, moving into this area felt like striking gold.
I offer services across the entire end-to-end product design process, with specialist skills in qualitative user research, ideation and concept development, low to high fidelity wireframing, prototyping and usability testing.

"Sarah is one of the most empathetic and thoughtful designers I've had the pleasure of working with. She obsesses over the design problem and cares deeply about user experience. Sarah's holistic and systematic approach to research, design and prototyping are her great strengths."
- Rakesh Rachamalla, Experience Design Director at AQKA
"Sarah not only demonstrated a strong aptitude for the tools and techniques of UX design, but her empathy for customers led us to develop products that more closely aligned to the goals of users, rather than merely building around a feature/function set."
- Mark Eagleton, UX Consultant at Deloitte
"It has been an honour working alongside Sarah; she has been an invaluable asset since her first day as part of our team.
In being quite literally thrown into the deep end on a project she was able to plan, implement and deliver UX activities with autonomy.
I sincerely hope to work alongside Sarah again in the future."
- Aaron Perera, Project Manager at HeathWallace
